Our Schools
We have 3 campuses, each dedicated to bringing the best education and support for our children.
Daretown Campus
The Daretown Campus serves school aged students with behavioral and emotional disabilities from Salem and Cumberland Counties.
Salem Campus
The Salem Campus serves middle and high school aged students with disabilities from Salem and Cumberland Counties. Students may have the option of attending the vocational program or transitional career program (TCP).
Cumberland Campus
The Cumberland Campus Program serves school aged students with severe disabilities from Salem and Cumberland Counties.

SCSSSD’s Mission & Vision
The mission of the Salem County Special Services School District, a regional educational service agency, is to provide high quality, cost-effective programs and services to the schools and districts of Salem and Cumberland Counties.
Our Schools are learning communities where adults with special gifts serve students with special needs. The program is cooperative ventures that foster shared services and expertise in an effort to both increase quality of service and decrease cost to local districts.

For Children and Families
District Programs
Child Study Team Services
Including Psychological, Learning, Functional Behavioral Assessment and Social evaluations provided by a staff of highly qualified professionals.
Related Services
Occupational, Physical and Speech evaluations and/or therapy are available to enable a child to progress in their educational program.
Music Therapy
Music Therapy is an established healthcare profession that uses music to address physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs.
Job Shadowing
Dedicated to helping disabled students find competitive work or employment in integrated work settings where they can build upon their strengths.
Early Intervention Program
Helping families to meet the developmental and health-related needs of children from birth to age three who have delays or disabilities by providing quality services and support.

Our schools will provide an engaging and challenging curriculum that addresses the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards. Teaching and learning will take place in physically and emotionally safe environments that have an active commitment to ensure trust, mutual respect, communication, effective collaboration, and good citizenship. The vision of Salem County Special Services School District is that all students develop the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to succeed in life.
